Kayak Adventures

Sea kayaks are a great way to explore Kachemak Bay, and Mako’s offers single and double kayaks for daily, multi-day, or weekly rentals.  Kayaks offer a unique and up-close way to experience the beautiful coves, channels, bays, and fjords of Kachemak Bay. Glide quietly over swaying eel grass and kelp beds, watch sea stars and anemones pass underneath your boat or paddle up to ancient cliffs with cascading waterfalls. Or find a quiet beach to build a fire or break out a lunch. Kayaks offer a truly unique way to experience Kachemak Bay that you can’t find with any other vessel.  We'll help you plan a day outing or an extended kayak/camping adventure based on your skill level, get you across the bay to your starting point, and pick you up when you’re done.

NOTE: Sea kayaking carries inherent risks, weather can be unpredictable, and Kachemak Bay has strong tides and currents. Customers assume all risks when renting kayaks. That said, we’re happy to help you plan an itinerary based on your sea kayaking skill level.
